Fleet Distribution Specialist - Herndon Volkswagen Herndon, VA Apply Now on Partner Site Description Role Summary: This position is responsible for managing, directing and controlling all facets of Fleet vehicle allocation, order submission, forecasting, wholesale, incentive development and sales reporting, including: Proactively coordinating with the sales planning and order management teams to ensure sufficient fleet allocations are in place to meet customer delivery schedules and achieve sales targets. Developing and presenting timely and accurate fleet sales forecast to Sales leadership. Directing all monthly whole activities to insure sales targets are achieved; and directly managing month-end sales reporting to insure monthly targets are met or exceeded. Resolving all distribution related customer concerns. Role Responsibilities: Vehicle Order Management: Manage all aspects of the vehicle order process to ensure allocations are secured to achieve fleet sales objectives (~30K/yr.); and deliver cars in alignment with customer expectations. Monitor order flow to ensure sufficient orders are in pipeline to meet customer delivery schedules and sales targets. Locate and secure additional cars as needed for ad hoc (immediate customer need) requests. Coordinate the installation of equipment / graphics with ports and outside suppliers. Monthly Wholesales / Sales Reporting: Manage and lead all monthly wholesale activities to insure retail sales targets are achieved; coordinate monthly-end sales reporting strategy with sales planning to mitigate retail sales risk. Develop and maintain ad hoc and regular reports as needed. Sales Forecasting: Develop and present weekly, monthly and annual fleet sales forecasts for VW Sales leadership review. Identify risks and opportunities vs. the monthly annual fleet sales plans; and develop action plans to mitigate risk and present opportunities to exceed sales targets. Customer Concern Resolution: Take ownership, respond to, and resolve customer concerns relating to product, distribution, damaged vehicles, warranty / recalls, dealer deliveries / relations, billing / invoicing / incentives, goodwill requests as needed. Meet or exceed customer expectations in resolving these issues in a timely manner. Keep all stakeholders apprised through the resolution process. OMSC Sales: Lead, manage and direct all sales, incentive, marketing and distribution activities for authorized VW distributor, Overseas Military Sales Corporation. Customer Communications: Develop and publish communications to ensure fleet customers are kept up to date on pricing, production / distribution issues, and other relevant VW Brand and product information.
